Make Your Mark Drawing Workshop 2023

A new public artwork by Sanné Mestrom will be installed in Zetland in 2025.

We are inviting YOU, as part of the Zetland community, to collaborate in the creation of this public artwork, by participating in one of our Creative Drawing Workshops at the Joynton Avenue Creative Centre.

In our Creative Drawing Workshop, you are invited to inscribe a dream you have for your future-self - it could be a short sentence or a simple sketch. A love letter to your future self, or perhaps to your grandchildren. We will guide you through this process in a series of fun and creative drawing activities.

Many of your drawings will be engraved into bronze and will form part of the final public artwork, which when complete, will be on permanent display for the next 20 or more years. The project will become a time capsule of your dreams: every time you, your family, and your friends return to the site, you can reflect back to this moment in your life - to reflect on your dreams, as they were, in 2023.

Who: Open to the entire Zetland community

When: Workshop 1: Saturday 29th April 10:00 am to 12:00 pm OR Workshop 2: Saturday 6th May 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
