Kobie Bosch is a South African-born painter who has been living in Sydney Australia for close to two decades. Her work reveals a fascination with both pattern and place: how to integrate the external natural world of birds and flowers inside our homes remains at the centre of her work. Daniel Muller-Schott performs Dvorak 2022

Image
One of the world's greatest cellists performs arguably the greatest cello concerto of all. The greatest cello concerto? Many cellists would argue it's this piece by Dvořák - a late-career gem that surprised even himself. A piece that demands both a bold and tender sound, Dvořák's sublime and lush melodies are brilliantly realised through the fearless and dashing playing of one of the world's greatest cellists, Daniel Müller-Schott. Prokofiev's _Romeo and Juliet _is similarly alive and beautiful. Incredibly expressive, this ballet score is one of the world's most popular and enduring. Listen for the excitable Juliet, the audacious Romeo, the Montagues and the Capulets, the hot-tempered Tybalt, and beneath it all, the subtle hint of tragedy that awaits star-crossed lovers. https://upnext.com.au/event/daniel-muller-schott-performs-dvorak-2022 Check out our website https://upnext.com.au/sydney Check out our Vimeo channel https://vimeo.com/upnextsydney Check out our ...

Regina Noakes: Framing my Life 2022

Image
'The paintings in this exhibition have a certain intimacy and portrayal of closeness, which comes from the act of sharing spaces and everyday life closely with a husband, family, and animals. Cats feature in many works as they spend much time with me in the studio. Seemingly small moments are observed and many of the works are a return to distilled memories of childhood, interiors, and still lives. I have chosen to paint from my imagination rather than subjects in front of me, choosing to give the paintings a timeless quality where past and future do not matter.' - Regina Noakes, 2022 https://upnext.com.au/event/regina-noakes-framing-my-life-2022 Check out our website https://upnext.com.au/sydney Check out our Vimeo channel https://vimeo.com/upnextsydney Check out our Youtube channel UpNext Sydney Youtube

John Frost and Lyndon Terracini are delighted to finally bring to the Australian stage one of the most beautiful musicals of all time. With its fresh new take on the beloved tale of a young woman who is transformed from a chambermaid into a princess, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella combines the story's classic elements - the glass slippers, pumpkin, a beautiful masked ball and more - along with some surprising twists. More than just a pretty face with the right shoe size, this Cinderella is a contemporary figure living in a fairytale setting. A spirited young woman with savvy and soul, she not only fights for her own dreams, but forces the prince to open his eyes to the world around him and realise his dreams too. The stage version of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella made its long-awaited Broadway debut in January 2013, featuring a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and direction by Mark Brokaw, and it ran for two years. Mr Beane's book blends masterfully with the ...
