Carlotta Centanni - "From Italy With Love" 2022

After her successful album launch at Foundry 616 last April with 'Speak Love ~ Parla D'amore', Carlotta returns to Foundry with 'From Italy with Love' and a new lineup: Peter Locke on piano, Mark Howard on double bass, and Juan Carlos Allende on percussion.

Carlotta's project 'From Italy with Love' is a continuation of her celebration of the music and culture she grew up with in Italy, which she began in 2017 when she returned to Australia from Italy. It is the story of Italy and Italians; of their love of life, food, singing, and laughter, and how they talk with our hands, like no one else.

Carlotta grew up in Rome and Tuscany writing music and performing and recording with her Italian band. From an early age she was surrounded and influenced by famous Italian music icons; her Grandfather Armandino, Mina (who was her mentor), and Ornella Vanoni, but also the Italian film culture of Sophia Loren, Fellini, Anna Magnani, Toto, and many others.

Carlotta has had the pleasure and honor of working with many wonderful musicians, including Stefano Malatesta, Andrea Pagani, Bob Masala, Eric Daniel, Eddy Palermo, Stefano Senesi, Piero Pierantozzi, Alex Bastianelli, and many others on her three successful albums launched and performed in Australia where she has lived since 2008.
