The Ethics of Death 2022

The Ethics of Death 2022

Is death something that merely happens to us, or is dying something that we do? How might ethics inform the decisions we make for ourselves or for others?

We often say that someone 'died well' - but is a 'good' death distinguishable from a 'good' life?

Is our life ours to end when we think best? Do we owe obligations to the dead? Should we tell comforting lies to shield the world from unpleasant truths about the dead? Do the 'virtuous' and the 'wicked' all become equal in death? What is the status of a corpse?

Join us to delve into the life's one unavoidable certainty; the ethics of death.

This event is part of 'The Ethics of' trilogy which includes 'The Ethics of Sex' and 'The Ethics of Loneliness'.

Catch all three events for $30 live stream or $90 in person

About 'The Ethics Of...'
