HOPE butterfly installation 2022

HOPE butterfly installation 2022

To celebrate World Environment Day on June 5 over 1000 HOPE butterflies will be landing/swarming into the fountain court of New South Wales parliament house.

These rare and endangered HOPE butterflies created and curated by Nick Baldas represent hundreds of primary and secondary school children and artists from within New South Wales.

Participants were invited to 'add their wings' to the HOPE butterfly colony using tracing paper and mixed media. Come and watch the butterflies as they flutter gently in the wind and catch the sunlight as it bounces off the fountain.

Visit the Water Labyrinth Facebook Page for further information and to add your wings to the colony.

A Nick Baldas initiative proudly hosted by Ms Jenny Leong MP at NSW Parliament House.
