The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie was the 2002 season's most awarded new show on Broadway! Based on the 1967 Academy Award-winning film starring Julie Andrews, the hit musical tells the timeless story of young Millie Dillmount from Kansas, who comes to New York to make a new life for herself.

After researching the richest and most eligible bachelors in the world, her grand plan is to find a job as a secretary for a wealthy businessman and then marry him. It doesn't quite work out! The owner of her dingy hotel has other plans for young women like Millie, the boss is a bit slow with the proposal, and she falls in love with a guy who's penniless…or so it seems.

Filled with memorable songs, delightful characters, dashing leading men, great music and fabulous dancing, and a villainess audiences will love to hate, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment, a sweet valentine to New York and the eternal spirit of renewal it represents as much today as ever.

Mosman Musical Society has assembled a stellar cast including a large tap dancing ensemble to present this delightful story with a modern twist at the Zenith Theatre Chatswood in April. Starring Victoria Luxton as Millie, Aaron Pesic as Jimmy, Suzanne Chin as Miss Dorothy & Tom Bradshaw as Trevor Grayden. And the villain you will love to hate, Susan Boyle as Mrs Meers.
