Dawn reflection 2022

Dawn reflection 2022

In 2022, the dawn projection will feature the artwork of Central Desert artist, David Miller, on the sails of the Sydney Opera House. Mr Miller, a senior Pitjantjatjara man, is painting the Goanna Songline (Ngintaka Inma) that will feature in Solid Rock, Sacred Ground, the opening segment of Australia Day Live at dusk.

The projection will coincide with both the Australian National Flag and Australian Aboriginal Flag being raised on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge - both flags will remain at full mast for the whole day and is symbolic of moving important conversations forward and sharing a combined commitment to harmony and reconciliation.

Vantage Points: Circular Quay foreshore

The Dawn Projection and much of the Sydney program is guided by First Nations representatives and features many First Nations artists showcasing the richness and historical significance of culture through modern and meaningful programming.
