Community walk with refugees 2021

OneStep Walks' mission is to relieve the isolation and associated mental distress experienced by people of refugee background in Australia through human connection. We do this via community 'walk-and-talk' events with local and refugee communities coming together. 

Small walking groups comprising local Sydneysiders and people who've recently arrived in Australia with refugee experience, enjoy a walk and talk along Balmoral Boulevard together, followed by a picnic lunch and maybe an informal game of soccer. Children and families are welcomed.

The positive impact of our events, proven through independent research, is significant. In their words:
