Join a free tour of Eucalyptusdom led by an artist who created new work for the exhibition in conversation with a Powerhouse curator. During these informal artist-led tours, visitors will gain insights into the artists' works, collection objects, the exhibition development process and the ideas and stories woven through the exhibition. Eucalyptusdom reckons with our cultural history and ever-changing relationship with the gum tree, presenting over 500 objects from the Powerhouse Collection alongside 17 newly commissioned works by creative practitioners working across the fields of design, architecture, film, applied arts and performance. On the first Friday of the month, we will host a total art experience with some of the most talented Australian musicians and our beautiful undraped models. After the first edition with Declan Kelly, we are back on Friday 1 July, with an evening of Life Drawing with live piano by Sonia De Freitas. We will also have a model (nude) who will work through a series of poses, while you sketch away with a glass of wine in hand. In partnership with the University of Sydney's Conservatorium of Music, The Women's Club presents the Emerging Women in Music program which showcases 17 emerging musicians performing ten hours of music by Australian female composers across nine concerts. Anna Hueneke is a Sydney poet and emerging composer and singer. Following a deep engagement with the language and texts of Biblical Hebrew Anna has written two collections of poems in English and Biblical Hebrew titled Songs of Fire and Sacred Fire. In Songs of Fire the fire represents a woman's creative power and lamenting voice. In Sacred Fire the fire of lament becomes the fire of love between woman and man. Anna sets her poems to traditional Jewish liturgical melodies and, through study at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, to compositions of her own. Anna speaks her poetry first in English and then sings in Biblical Hebrew. She is looking forward to presenting a selection of her work at the upcoming event at The Women
